Andy is an experienced (Re)Insurance Claims professional with more than 30 years experience in the industry. He is known for supporting clients through complex, high-value and technically demanding matters with clarity, structure and calm delivery.

He founded Mendrys Risk Group in 2026 to deliver advisory support, technical insight and strategic input to organisations operating in specialist risk domains.

Over the course of his career, Andy has worked with insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, brokers and specialist adjusters on matters that require balanced judgement, commercial understanding and attention to detail. His background spans energy, construction, industrial property and technically intensive risks.

Andy is recognised for helping parties understand where they stand, what matters commercially, and how to navigate towards outcomes that are fair, realistic and principled. He supports stakeholders who value clarity over noise and progress over escalation.

Outside the market, Andy is a father of four and enjoys football, rugby, cricket, good wine and good food, and loves to travel. He reads widely, cooks frequently, walks daily and believes that life is best lived with curiosity, humour and purpose.

He enjoys learning, experimenting and connecting ideas across different fields — whether that’s emerging technology, resilience thinking or the psychology of decision-making. He is someone who believes that leadership is all about balance.
